1983-  Clomer and Avil Cooper of Cooper Wholesale, Inc. Pryor, Oklahoma, form a business partnership with William and Sharron Paul Sr.  to begin Cooper Supply Inc. Coleman, Texas. Cooper Supply Inc. opens for business with a primary focus on the sale of polyethylene pipe and fittings in the energy (oil patch) industry.  The Coleman  location is chosen for  its proximity to a polyethylene pipe manufacturer and to better service West, Central Texas and New Mexico.

1987- Bill Paul, Jr. (son) begins working full- time for Cooper Supply Inc.

1989-  William and Sharron Paul Sr. purchase all controlling shares from Clomer and Avil Cooper  establishing a non certified woman owned company with Sharron  Paul controlling 51% of stock and William Paul Sr. controlling 49%. 

1994- Cooper Supply Inc. opens a second branch in Haltom City, Texas.  Primary focus for this location would be the sale of polyethylene pipe for the natural gas market. The location was chosen to serve the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, North and East Texas as well as Arkansas and Louisiana.

1995- Bill Paul, Jr. is named Vice President of Operations of Coleman Branch.

1998- Stephanie Paul (daughter) begins working full – time for Cooper Supply Inc.

2003- Coleman branch is expanded with the addition of a new building. A hardware division is added which includes the sale of plumbing parts, sporting goods, lawn and garden as well as farm and ranch items.

2004- Coleman and Haltom City inventories are linked with an investment in new accounting software.

2005-Coleman branch expands a second time doubling its size to accommodate a growing hardware division.

2005-Stephanie Paul is named General Manager of Fort Worth Branch.

2006- Haltom City branch leases a larger location to allow for expansion and the housing of larger inventories. Market focus increases to include energy, developer installed programs, fusion equipment, wholesale supply houses,  industrial and municipal projects for water and sewer.

2007- Cooper Supply Inc was awarded the Family Owned Small Business of the Year
by the Fort Worth Business Press and Plains Capital One Bank.

2007- Cooper Supply Inc opens a third branch in Corpus Christi, Texas.  Market focus to include natural gas, energy, industrial and municipal.  Location was selected to cover South Texas.

2008- Cooper Supply Inc. applies for  WBENC Certification.

2008- Cooper Supply Inc. celebrates its 25th anniversary.
2009- Cooper Supply Inc. awarded HUB/WOB Certification.
